BERNINA Australia and a Wonderland of Wearable Art!  »

Once again we are pleased to announce our sponsorship of the ‘Art U Wear’ competition at Brisbane’s Textile Art Festival, June 25-27 2010. The 2010 competition theme is ‘ Alice in Wonderland’ and calls for all textile artists, designers, students and anyone who has a love of creative textiles to design a wearable art costume (ensemble).
 
With prize money of $5000 up for grabs and the junior winner to score a BERNINA activa 210 sewing machine valued at RRP $1,299, we expect plenty of grinning ‘Cheshire Cats’. Entrants also have the opportunity to have their craftsmanship displayed at the festival as well as the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair the following month. Entries are open until April 15 2010.
 
So put on that ‘mad hat’ and let your imagination surge through ‘the looking glass’ and please don’t be ‘late for this very important date’!
